I originally reviewed Evergreen Pet Lodge when I first started coming, but after a couple of years, I have to say it’s still the best facility in Hilton Head. The owner, Jonathan, is amazing. He’s very professional, no-nonsense, and you can tell he genuinely cares for the animals. The other employees actively love the pups. I never have to worry about a thing when I drop my dog off. In fact, picking and dropping off my dog is the highlight of my day! For a while, I stopped bringing my dog due to a busy schedule, and his health actually declined (weight gain and sadness). Bringing him back to Evergreen fixed all of that immediately. It’s now a non-negotiable part of our routine. It allows me to work all day knowing he is having a blast with his friends. Still after a few years I highly recommend! My dog just finished his first week here. The first night back he was wagging his tail in his sleep. When the weekend came he was waiting at the front door like “come on go to work, take me to day care!” They remember him when he walks in. The owner clearly loves these dogs as well as the employees. I’m so glad I chose this daycare for my puppy!

Evergreen Pet Lodge is a staple business in the Hilton Head community and has built a reputation of giving the utmost care and love to any and all pets. Whether it be a grooming service or overnight boarding, expect nothing but the best! A few years ago, I adopted a very shy and quiet shelter cat. It has taken her quite some time to come out of her shell and be social, especially around strangers. I board her at Evergreen and she always seems to be very happy when I come to pick her up. The staff have told me that she was warm and friendly with them while I was away, which makes me so happy! These guys are the best in the business, I can’t recommend them enough.

My husband and I wanted to make sure to let anyone looking for dog daycare know what an absolutely wonderful business Evergreen Pet Lodge is! We are visiting the island and wanted to leave our dog Gus in daycare while we golfed. From the first phone call to the last encounter, it was obvious how much Evergreen Pet Lodge cares about the animals in their care as well as their humans! Gus was so excited when we brought him in and never anxious when we picked him up. One of the kind employees shared a story about Gus with a fellow dog. I am just home from a 9 1/2 hour journey in Thanksgiving Sunday traffic and I wanted to take a few minutes before preparing for the work week to share my gratitude for your service. This was the second Thanksgiving weekend in a row we boarded our now 15 year-old dog at Evergreen and we are simply impressed with how fantastic everyone has been in our communications and care for our dog. She has always been a feral nervous dog, and with her aging this has only increased. She has never been comfortable with others caring for her, even good friends in our own home. It was obvious she was relaxed in Evergreen.

Although this was Tango’s first stay ever at a kennel, our former 13-year old Border Collie cross Molly stayed at Evergreen Pet Lodge and was exceptionally well cared for too. When we picked Tango up on her last day, the staff surprised us — they’d given her a complementary bath and toe nail trimming. Everyone went the extra mile to ensure that Tango felt at home throughout her stay.
